Notably, a plug-in doesn't receive a color profile for the image through gFilterRecord->iCCprofileData with untagged images. This seems to make sense, but it does mean that a plug-in has to do color management in "exceptional" cases in much the same way Photoshop does it.
Am I correct in assuming that Photoshop will use the user's choice for Working Space (if he has one) to interpret the gray values in the image? What does it do if the user's choice is "Off"?
And I can't seem to find a way to get an untagged 32 bit/channel image... Can such a thing exist, or does Photoshop always come up with a profile for a 32 bit image?
